'Divina Santa Cruz' is a Portuguese folk song, where each verse quietly navigates maqam Hijaz, before eventually resting on maqam Nikriz. Here it is preceded by a taqsim (improvisation) based on maqam Nikriz.

"Sonata per flauto" is the only inscription, aside from the musical text, in an anonymous manuscript discovered on December 28, 2023, in the archives of Espeluy Castle (Jaen, Spain). This recording marks both the first-ever recording of the sonata and likely its modern premiere. "Sonata per flauto" (Espeluy manuscript), for recorder and figured bass
João Roiz Ensemble plays Cesar Viana's clarinet quintet: 'Tempus Meum' (2024). The title comes from a Gregorian melody that is used throughout the piece. A twelve-tone row is derived from the poly-modal manipulations of the original melody, exploring and confronting the tonal possibilities of both. The work employs techniques found in some of Viana's recent compositions, where twelve-tone rows are used within a tonal/modal perspective. The work has three movements: I.
